Reusable Bags GH is a Ghanaian social enterprise founded in 2019 by Bismark Osiakwa and based in Accra, Ghana. We design, produce, and sell high-quality reusable bags as a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bags — and we educate the public on why the switch matters.
We believe a plastic-free Ghana is achievable. Every bag we make is a practical step toward that goal.
Ghana generates millions of plastic bags worth of waste every year. Founder Bismark Osiakwa started Reusable Bags GH with a straightforward idea: make it easy and affordable for individuals, businesses, and organisations across Ghana to stop relying on single-use plastic.
What began as a small production operation in Accra has grown into a brand serving customers across five countries, with over 200 clients and 202 completed projects. Some of our upcycled bags are made from materials sourced at Kantamanto Market in Accra — giving discarded fabric a second life while reducing textile waste alongside plastic waste.

We manufacture eco-friendly reusable bags in Accra from cotton, jute, and upcycled materials — including tote bags, drawstring bags, courier bags, hand-painted and upcycled denim styles, travel wash bags, flask covers, and custom branded bags for businesses and events. All bags are made in Ghana and are machine washable.

Reusable Bags are very responsibly and ethically made in Accra. We’re aware of the stigma and social and environmental issues associated with manufacturing in Ghana and we pay close attention to ensuring we work with ethical and responsible partners.
Reusable bags can be made from a variety of materials, including canvas, cotton, polyester, nylon, and upcycled materials such as old clothes. Some of our upcycled bags are made from old clothes collected from Kantamanto in Accra.
Our reusable bags can be washed in a washing machine. You can handwash the our bags as well.
With normal use and proper care, our bags last several years. They are designed to replace hundreds of single-use plastic bags over their lifetime.
Reusable bags can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, or machine washed on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. It’s important to check the care instructions on the bag for specific cleaning and care instructions.
